Dell - W-Series Instant Access Points
Cost-effective, enterprise-class WiFi networking for a variety of environments. Easy to deploy, use and maintain. Combine enterprise capabilities with entry-level simplicity through W-Series instant access points (IAPs) with built-in virtual controllers. When multiple IAPs are connected, a single IAP acts as a primary virtual controller. If that controller fails, another W-Series IAP in the chain automatically takes over as the primary virtual controller without disrupting services. To expand your network, just add more W-Series IAPs. Configuration is automatically uploaded from the primary virtual controller.
IAP – WiFi without an external controller
Model No. | Description |
IAP277 and IAP274/275 802.11ac | W-Series IAP277 and IAP274/275 IAPs deliver Gigabit WiFi performance to 802.11ac mobile devices. These APs are purpose-built to survive harsh outdoor environments, including extreme high and low temperatures as well as persistent moisture and precipitation, and fully sealed to keep out airborne contaminants. With a maximum data rate of 1.3Gbps in the 5GHz band and 600Mbps in the 2.4GHz band, the IAP277 and IAP274/275 instant APs support concurrent dual-radio operation. |
IAP228 802.11ac | The W-Series IAP228 IAP delivers gigabit WiFi performance to 802.11ac mobile devices in harsh, weather-protected environments such as warehouses, industrial freezers or stadium enclosures. With a maximum data rate of 1.3Gbps in the 5GHz band and 600Mbps in the 2.4GHz band, the IAP228 is three times faster than 802.11n APs and provides performance similar to a wired connection. |
IAP224/225 802.11ac | W-Series IAP224 (external antenna) and IAP225 (internal antenna) 802.11ac IAPs support the 5GHz industry standard for gigabit wireless data rates. These purpose-built 3x3 multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) 802.11ac APs are designed to deliver up to three times higher performance than comparable 802.11n APs. The IAP224 and IAP225 each include dual GbE ports to access wired backbones and are powered by Power-over-Ethernet 802.3at (PoE+) or an optional adapter. |
IAP214/215 802.11ac | W-Series IAP214/215 IAPs maximize mobile device performance in medium-density WiFi environments. These multifunctional, affordable APs support 5GHz 802.11ac clients at data rates of up to 877Mbps and 2.4GHz 802.11n clients at up to 300Mbps. You can power W-Series IAP214/215 IAPs with a 12V DC nominal, +/- 5 percent or a PoE 48V DC (nominal) 802.3af compliant source. |
IAP205H 802.11ac | The IAP205H IAP combines high-performance wireless mobility with wired Gigabit Ethernet access in a surprisingly compact, multifunctional and affordable device. The IAP205H delivers 5GHz 802.11ac at data rates of up to 867Mbps and 2.4GHz 802.11n clients at up to 400Mbps. |
IAP204/205 802.11ac | W-Series IAP204/205 IAPs maximize mobile device performance in medium-density enterprise WiFi environments. These multifunctional, affordable APs support 5GHz 802.11ac clients at data rates of up to 877Mbps and 2.4GHz 802.11n clients at up to 300Mbps. You can power W-Series 204/205 IAPs with a 12V DC nominal, +/- 5 percent or a PoE 48V DC (nominal) 802.3af compliant source. |
IAP114/115 802.11ac | W-Series IAP114 (external antenna) and IAP115 (internal antennas) are high-performance, dual-radio 802.11n IAPs are designed to deliver data rates up to 450Mbps for each radio and suited for medium-density deployments. |
IAP103 802.11ac | The W-Series IAP103 IAPs provide cost-effective dual-band coverage in medium-density enterprise WiFi environments while minimizing interference from cellular networks. This compact IAP delivers wireless data rates up to 300Mbps for each radio employing 802.11n technology with two spatial MIMO streams, and features a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz radio, each with 2x2:2 MIMO and two integrated omnidirectional down-tilt antennas. |
IAP155/155P wired + wireless | W-Series IAP155 and IAP155P are dual-band, dual-radio IAPs offering wire-like data rates of up to 450Mbps for each radio with instant or remote AP-mode options. The IAP155 and IAP155P each have four ports available to the wired network and a USB port to connect to 3G and 4G networks. The IAP155P has two capable LAN ports that can power an external PoE-enabled device, such as an IP phone. Each dual-radio, concurrent dual-band access point features: |
IAP108/109 wired + wireless | Multifunctional dual-radio W-Series IAP108 (connecters for external antenna) and IAP109 (four integrated antennas) are 802.11abgn, 2x2:2 MIMO APs with instant or remote AP modes for wireless and wired networking in large deployments. With 300Mbps wireless data rate for each radio, these IAPs feature: |
IAP3WN/IAP3WNP wired + wireless | W-Series IAP3WN and IAP3WNP are enterprise-grade portable or desktop 802.11n indoor APs that offer data rates of up to 300Mbps. The IAP3WNP includes a PoE-capable LAN port that can power an external PoE-enabled device, such as an IP phone. The W-Series IAP3WN features: |
